LAUREL – Pack up the family and enjoy a ‘Night of Lights’ in a northeast Nebraska community this week.
According to a release from Laurel Economic Development, Laurel Night of Lights will be held on Thursday, December 9 from 5 – 8 p.m.
Holiday shopping specials will be offered with local businesses being open as all are welcome to get your green punch cards filled for a chance at several drawings. A live online drawing will take place the following week on Thursday, December 16 at 7 p.m.
Photos with Santa will last from 5 – 8 p.m. this Thursday from the Laurel City Auditorium. This event is being sponsored by Laurel Presbyterian Church. Local vendors will also be set up in the auditorium for early Christmas shopping.
Other events that had a pre-registration date by November 24 will be the House Decorating Contest and Business Word Scramble.
All house decorating ballots, word scrambles and Santa letters must be turned into the mailbox under the tree west of Laurel’s Hometown Market by Thursday, December 9.
