Ducks Unlimited Banquet Tickets Available For Purchase, First 50 Youth To Be Covered By Wayne Chapter With Paid Adult

WAYNE – Northeast Nebraska duck enthusiasts are invited to attend an upcoming auction and member banquet fundraiser for wetlands and waterfowl conservation.

According to a release from the Wayne Area Chapter of Ducks Unlimited, the 15th annual event will be held on Friday, November 8 from the Beaumont Event & Concert Hall located at 2611 N Hwy 15.

Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. with dinner being served at 7 p.m. and live auction to follow.

Ducks Unlimited is the world’s largest wetlands, waterfowl and wildlife conservation organization. The organization has conserved more than 13 million acres of wetlands and related waterfowl habitat since 1937, thanks to contributions from more than a million supporters and members from across the continent. All are invited to help Ducks Unlimited celebrate 82 years.

The first 50 kids, 15 years of age and younger who are accompanied by a paid Ducks Unlimited adult member will be let in free of charge. DU is looking to the next generation of wildlife conservationist and hunters. The chapter will pay for the “Greenwing” youth membership in DU and a meal for the first 50 to register. All greenwings will be entered into a drawing of youth items.

Tickets are available at the door or from any committee member. A single ticket is $40 with couples being $60, greenwings at $15 and National Bronze level sponsorship at $265 which the price includes dinner and membership in Ducks Unlimited.

This year’s banquet will include an auction of both collectible DU art and memorabilia and other useful items for the hunter and collector.
