WAYNE – A pair Mid State Conference volleyball programs met on the court Tuesday night.
From the Wayne Jr/Sr High School gymnasium, Class C1 Wayne High hosted Class C2 Guardian Angels Central Catholic.
The visiting Bluejays secured the 25-10, 25-17, 25-9 sweep to improve to 6-4 as Wayne High fell to 1-10.
Haley Kramer recorded a team-high three kills to go along with 19 digs, followed by Emma Forsythe with two kills and a dig, Faith Powicki finished with a team-high 29 digs as Kate Hill tacked on 13 digs and a kill.
Elle Powicki (one digs), Gabbi Judd (four digs) and Jaycee Bruns (two digs) all had a kill. Jacen Hasemann also tallied six digs.
Service aces came from Hill and Elle Powicki each with one. Judd added two solo blocks as Bruns and Hill each had a block.
The Wayne High volleyball team will next host Lutheran High Northeast on Thursday, September 15.
