PENDER – A handful of area high school wrestling teams were put to the test during the Pender Duals.
From Pender Public Schools, the Pendragons hosted BRLD, Creighton, Madison, Ponca and Winnebago in a team dual format.
The host Pender won the dual meet with victories over Creighton (84-0); Madison (77-0); BRLD (78-6); Winnebago (75-4) and Ponca (55-20) while BRLD took second with wins over Madison (36-27); Ponca (40-33); Creighton (54-6) and Winnebago (36-30).
Other results came from Ponca in third with wins against Winnebago (39-18); Creighton (48-12) and Madison (42-30); Madison came in fourth with a win over Winnebago (75-4) and Creighton (33-6); Winnebago took fifth with a win over Creighton (36-6) as Creighton closed out the six teams going 0-5.
