Blue Devil Girls Basketball Closes Out Regular Season At Home Tuesday, Friday  

WAYNE – With subdistrict pairings to be announced later this for girls basketball teams, the Wayne High Blue Devils will close out their regular season with two home games.

WHS (4-16) will look to snap a 14-game losing streak from the Wayne Jr/Sr high school gymnasium with a Class A opponent in town. The Blue Devils will host Omaha South (0-18) on Tuesday, February 11.

Omaha South is on a current 21-game losing streak and last won on February 8, 2019 against Omaha Bryan 52-24. The Packers won two games last year and both were against Omaha Bryan (46-31 on December 27, 2018).

Game times will open with JV action at 5:30 p.m. followed by girls varsity at 7 p.m.

Later this week, the Wayne girls will join their boys team hosting Arlington on Friday, February 14. Varsity games will be carried on The City ‘KCTY’ 98.9/1590 and waynedailynews.com with pregame coverage starting around 5:45 p.m.

The Wayne High girls will compete in the C1-7 Subdistrict Tournament hosted by Norfolk High School starting Tuesday, February 18. Teams joining WHS will be Battle Creek, Norfolk Catholic and Pierce.
