PIERCE COUNTY, NE — Two people are injured after a multi-vehicle accident Friday afternoon.
Pierce and Hadar Rescue received a call for a SUV vs. semi collision at the corner of the Highway 81 and 98 intersection around 12:30 PM. The accident was about 13 miles north of Norfolk.
Officials on the scene say one person was transported via LifeNet helicopter to a hospital. One person was transported to Faith Regional Health Services by ambulance.
Rescue workers say they used a heavy jaw to extricate a person out of the SUV.
The Nebraska State Patrol is investigating the crash.
