Snow, Cold Temperatures Slated For Later This Week

WAYNE – Travelers should be excepted to plan their trips accordingly during a mid-week change of ice and snow.

According to a release from the National Weather Service Tuesday morning, accumulating snow is expected in northeast Nebraska Wednesday through Thursday. Also, mainly potential drizzle is possible across the rest of eastern Nebraska and southwest Iowa.

Travel could be impacted by freezing drizzle Wednesday morning through Wednesday night. The freezing drizzle will eventually change over to snow by Thursday morning.

Very cold winds chills of 15 to 35 below possible are likely in northeast Nebraska early Thursday morning through Friday morning.

Areas of northeast Nebraska will see mostly snow, southeast Nebraska mostly freezing drizzle and in-between a mix.
