Math Position Update, Recommendation For Restroom Project Among Board Of Education Agenda

WAYNE – For the second time in 2021, members with the Wayne Community Schools Board of Education will hold their regularly scheduled meeting.

From the Jr/Sr High School Conference Room, the board will open their meeting at 5 p.m. on Monday, February 8.

An update on the math position will be provided early in the meeting followed by old business pertaining to the 2021-22 draft calendar.

Moving into new business, a recommendation will be made on the restroom project at the high school. This would be for a selection committee for the Position of Construction Manager at Risk for the proposed restroom and other renovations to the high school under the Political Subdivisions Construction Alternatives Act.

The board will also act on the elementary heat pumps as a quote will be brought forward for the work, Personal Finance as a required course for graduation will be discussed as well as scoreboard quotes provided for the elementary gym scoreboards.

NASB Annual Membership dues are due while first readings for several policies and the 2021-22 Early Learning Center Handbook will be addressed under new business.

This month’s February Honor Coffee recognition will be for 2020-21 Yearbook staff: Nakuyo Kantai, Anaka Krueger, Claire Lindsay, Garret Robinson, Hannah Vick, Jozi Sims, Kortney Aschoff, Luis Garcia Lopez, Maryann Magana and Abigail Wieseler.
