Kaye Morris, who has been a sub for quite a few years and former board member, has been hired for one-year as an English teacher and then the board also accepted her resignation for the end of next school year (2021-22). This will open the possibility of hiring an English teacher and search next fall.

With very low community spread, low to no exposure in the school and hospitalizations down, masks are now recommended at Wayne Community Schools for the remainder of the school year. Under the updated DHMs, if exposed, an individual must self-monitor and wear a mask instead of previously missing school during a quarantine period of 10-14 days.

No students or staff have been in quarantine or isolation for over a month.
