20th Annual Hallowfest At Ponca State Park

PONCA – Ponca State Park will again be hosting Hallowfest on October 13 as well as October 20. A new addition to the event this year will be Walking Bingo. Participants pick up a Bingo card at the office front desk or at one of the craft stations and proceed to look for different creatures or individuals described on the card. When found, the creature or individual will place a sticker on the card and when all the squares are filled guests return the card to the office front desk and will receive a Hallowfest prize.

Other things happening during Hallowfest include the Ponca Senior class selling glow in the dark items and crafts from 9:30 -11:30 a.m. At noon Conrad’s Kitchen will be atop Scouts Hill offering lunch specials. At 1 p.m. the famous Pumpkin Roll Obstacle Course will take place at Scout’s Hill. Prizes will be awarded in three age groups with a bonus Brutus division that will feature extremely large pumpkins. From 1-3:30 p.m. the creative pumpkin carving contest will be held. All pumpkins must be carved at the designated location and within the allotted time frame. Guests that are staying at Ponca State Park can partake in the campsite and cabin decorating contest as well. The evenings will feature haunted hayrack rides to wind down the night.
