WAYNE – Plan on making a trip to downtown Wayne for a weekend performance raising funds for a memorial scholarship.
The Majestic Theatre will be the venue for “BroadWayne on Main” located at 310 Main Street. This performance will feature music and theatrical entertainment for the Dr. Gwen Jensen Memorial Scholarship.
A social will begin at 7 p.m. on Saturday, June 29 with music provided by Paradox. The show will start at 8 p.m. and it does contain adult material and language not suitable for children.
Dr. Jensen was a former WSC theatre director and faculty member. Jensen, 59, passed away on December 31, 2018.
Wayne State College faculty and staff members John Dunning, Sarah Farr, Paul Karr and Melissa Derechailo will perform along with WSC alumni and students Zach Halsey, Andrew Halsey, Dulce Torres, Jaci Torres, T. Adam Goos, Jennifer Fees and the Wayne Community Theatre. Many of Gwen’s friends such as former WSC professor Tim Sharer will also perform.
