Senior Golf Continues Tuesday

HARTINGTON – With an official schedule out, the 2024 Northeast Nebraska Senior Golf League is underway.

According to a release, Senior Golf will be at the Hartington Golf Club in Hartington on Tuesday, May 7 with a 10 a.m. tee time.

League officials request those interested to show up at least 30 minutes early to get the teams selected. The 2024 Men’s Senior Golf League will compete at the Hartington Golf Club, Cedarview Country Club in Laurel, Twin Creeks Golf Club in Pender and the Wayne Country Club. The league will continue through October 22.

Eligible players include anyone 50 years of age and older who enjoys golf and meeting new friends. Visitors from any club are always welcome.

The format will feature four person teams selected the day of competition and will play for the lowest net nine-hole team score adjusted according to individual handicap. Carts are provided by club members and each country club.

Fees for nine holes of golf including a cart will be $5 for league host club members and $15 for visiting league members or visitors. Fees from all participants include $1 for prize money distributed to the top teams based on number of entries.

Also, an optional lunch cost is $10.

Other upcoming outings in the month of May include May 14 at Cedarview Country Club in Laurel at 10 a.m.; May 21 in Hartington at 10 a.m. as well as May 28 from Twin Creeks Golf Club in Pender at 9:30 a.m.

Big Red Country ‘KTCH’ 104.9, The City ‘KCTY’ 98.9/1590 and waynedailynews.com will announce location each day of play at the top of the hours of 6 a.m., 7 a.m. and 8 a.m. with weather related schedule changes or cancelations being announced after 7:30 a.m.
