COLUMBUS – Ahead of a weekend invite in Oakland, the Wayne High boys golf team make a trip to Columbus.
From Quail Run Golf Course in Columbus, the Blue Devils were among the 12 teams competing in the Lakeview Invite on Thursday.
The Wayne High boys golf team shot a 404 to finish eighth.
Colson Nelsen led the Blue Devils with a 92 to place 20th followed by Dylan Jensen with a 94.
Other WHS results came from Caiden Backer with a 103, Mason Karsky shot a 112 as Joseph Woerdemann finished with a 116.
Columbus Scotus won the Lakeview Invite with a 328, followed by Norfolk Catholic in runner-up (330), the host Lakeview took third (336), Central City placed fourth (358) and Lakeview JV rounded out the top five teams with a 375.

Nick Fleming of Scotus was the individual champion shooting a 74 out of the 66 golfers.
The Wayne High boys golf team will next compete in the Oakland-Craig Invite on Saturday, April 27 starting at 9 a.m.
