WAYNE – For those looking for some vinyl-only music, the Wayne State College campus radio station will be one of more than 200 radio stations worldwide providing a throw-back format.

According to a release from Wayne State College, KWSC – FM 91.9 The Cat will spin strictly vinyl throughout the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, April 20 – 21 with the goal of 48 continuous hours of vinyl recordings.

Vinylthon is an annual event working to inspire the next generation of radio professionals. This is the second year of participation by KWSC-FM. Vinylthon also raises funds for the College Radio Foundation. Earlier this year, KWSC-FM received a $1,500 grant from the foundation, which will be used to enhance the learning experience of Wayne State students.
