UPDATED: Wisner-Pilger Release Following Death Of Student

WISNER – A tragic incident took place on Friday during a track practice.

The complete release is below from Wisner-Pilger Public Schools.

“It is with a very heavy heart that we can confirm that Hunter Palmer, senior at Wisner-Pilger Schools, had died. The Wisner-Pilger Response Team will have the school open for students and staff from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. (Friday) and again from 8 a.m. until noon on Saturday. Additional information regarding funeral arrangements will be shared once they are known.”

Palmer collapsed at a track practice (corrected information) on Friday. He was committed to play football at Midland University.

Minnick Funeral Service has posted additional information about the funeral being set for Wednesday, May 10 at 7 p.m. from the Wisner City Auditorium.
