WAYNE – Several topics will be addressed during an upcoming Republican Party of Wayne County meeting.

According to a release, the meeting is scheduled for Saturday, February 10 at 9 a.m. from the Wayne Airport Conference room.

A meet the candidate event for the 2024 Lincoln-Reagan Forum will be held at the Carroll Auditorium on Saturday, February 24. Doors will open at 3 p.m. with candidates having an opportunity to speak at 4 p.m. A catered roast beef dinner will be served at 5 p.m. with the guest speaker to follow along with results of silent/live auction items and a questions and answer session with candidates as time permits.

Pre-registration is required at $25 per attendee by reaching out to County Chair Beverly Neel at 402-369-0152 for the details. Cost will increase to $30 after February 13.

Also, any registered Wayne County Republican voter can be a delegate at the biennial Wayne County Republican Convention on Friday, April 5 at the Wayne County Courthouse courtroom. Stop by the Wayne County Clerk’s Office at 510 Pearl Street in Wayne to get assistance in the process to become a delegate. The deadline to register as a Delegate to the County Convention is March 1.

Election of Party Officers will take place at the Convention. If you have an interest in serving in any position, please attend the Convention.

The Republican Party of Wayne County will plan on participating in the Chicken Days parade the second weekend in July. The group has also signed up for the Cars N Carroll event for Sunday, September 29 which will be the event’s 11th year. Republican Party of Wayne County officials stated that it has been an enjoyable experience to visit with constituents around the area and the state.

A Wayne Chamber Coffee event will be planned for Friday, November 1 being sponsored by the Republican Party of Wayne County.
