Throughout Mother’s Day weekend, Ponca State Park’s naturalist team will conduct bird related programs bringing awareness to ‘World Migratory Bird Day’ which is the second Saturday of both May and October. A fun fact relating to bird migration offered by Ponca State Park stated that bird migration coincides with the peak of insect season providing birds with a key food source as they migrate.
