WAKEFIELD – An upcoming Drama Camp will be hosted by the Little Red Hen Theatre in Wakefield.
According to a release, the annual camp will be held June 10 – 15 where students learn to explore the works of Shel Silverstein through creative performance.
Drama Camp is designed for students in grades kindergarten through eighth grade. The program aims to encourage creativity and confidence through creative drama. Students will learn basic drama skills as they work to produce their very own stage play.
Thanks to a grant from the Wakefield Community Foundation, there is no cost for participating students.
Class sizes are limited and sign-ups are taken on a first come, first served basis
The Little Red Hen Theatre will be hosting auditions for the Disney Broadway Musical of ‘Beauty and the Beast’. Auditions will be Thursday and Friday, May 9 – 10 at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday, May 11 at 1 p.m. Rehearsals will be May 20 – July 18 with performances July 19 – 21 and July 26 – 28.
Other productions include ‘Red Riding Hood’ October 2 – 6 and ‘Titanish’ November 22 – 24.
A live country music festival, The Wakefield Party is being scheduled for June 1. More information can be found at thewakefieldparty.com.
