Wayne Blue Didgets, Broncos Top Lakeview At Home

WAYNE – After the Wayne blue broncos made up a rescheduled game, they joined the didget team Monday evening during a tri-county league doubleheader.

From the Summer Sports Complex, Wayne hosted Columbus Lakeview.

In the didgets game, Wayne doubled up Lakeview 10-5. The Wayne blue didgets are now 5-1 on the season.

William Patefield went 3-for-3 with four RBI while Jaxon Chase added a pair of hits with one being a homerun. Chase Baldwin singled and tripled while Parker Patefield went 2-for-3.

Kael Frana and William Patefield both worked three innings in the win limiting Lakeview to five runs.

 

From the broncos game, Lakeview struck early with a first inning run before Wayne tallied four runs in the third to lead 4-1. The Wayne blue broncos then scored one more run in the fifth while giving up a run in the sixth to win 5-2. Wayne improves to 4-1 while Columbus Lakeview fell to 1-3.

Gavin Redden recorded a single, double and RBI while Kaden Keller tallied a double and two RBI for Wayne. Alex Frank, Austin Heiser and Carter Wiese all singled.

Gavin Redden picked up the win in three and two thirds striking out 11 batters and walking two. Caden Wiese started the opening two and a third innings allowing an earned run off four hits while striking out seven batters and walking four.

The Wayne blue didgets and broncos will next visit North Bend Blacksoxs on Thursday, June 13 at 6/7:45 p.m.
