Summer College ID Camp Announced By Wayne State Women’s Soccer

WAYNE – With the fall sports season quickly approaching for the Wayne State College women’s soccer team, high school girls will have an opportunity to join the team for an upcoming camp.

According to an announcement on Twitter from the Wayne State women’s soccer account (@WayneStSoccer), information has been released for their fall August ID camp.

The camp, made for current 9th – 12th grade girls only, will be held at the WSC soccer field located east of the football stadium and north of the Student Center on Sunday, August 11.

The August ID camp will run from 1 – 7 p.m. as cost is $65 per camper.

The camp features an opportunity to be recruited to play at WSC as 70% of their current roster has attended a WSC ID camp in the past. Instruction from WSC coaching staff on all facets of the game, goalkeeper specific training, a full-time athletic training staff and great natural grass and turf facilities will also be showcased. Lunch and a Wayne State soccer t-shirt will be provided.

The Wayne State College women’s soccer team will open their 2019 campaign with a pair of exhibition games. WSC will visit Briar Cliff University on Saturday, August 17 before competing in their home-opener on Friday, August 23 hosting College of St. Mary’s. The regular season then will begin in Kearney with games against Harding University on Friday, September 6 at 2 p.m. and Nebraska-Kearney on Sunday, September 8 at 1:30 p.m.
