NNPHD Updates COVID-19 Risk Dial

WAYNE – After moving into the red ‘severe’ category of the Northeast Nebraska Public Health Department COVID-19 Risk Dial on November 10, the health district has remained in the same spot the past three weeks.

According to a release from NNPHD, 40 new COVID-19 positives were reported Wednesday evening.

Wednesday’ report also included new positives since last report/total positives/total number recovered for each county in the health district. Cedar (16/533/251); Dixon (5/445/231); Thurston (6/702/441) and Wayne (13/798/447).

Of the 2,478 total positives, 1,370 have since recovered and there have been over 16,000 total cumulative negatives for the NNPHD Health District.

There have also been 19 deaths in the health district with an additional six deaths that are currently pending investigation. Of the 149 ever hospitalized, there were 17 as of November 28.
