WAYNE – Just about a month after a new filer was received for the Wayne County Commissioner District #2 position, the current seat holder has also filed.
According to a release from Wayne county clerk Deb Finn, the incumbent, Dean Burbach filed as a Republican candidate for the commissioner position on Friday, January 3.
His opponent, B.J. Woehler filed as a Republican candidate for Wayne County Commissioner, District #2 on December 16, 2019.
The 2020 Primary Election filing deadline is Tuesday, February 18 for incumbent candidates and Monday, March 2 for new filers.
Once established, a hyperlink will be posted on the county web page (waynecountyne.org) featuring the filing listings.
According to the ‘Candidate Information’ tab under the waynecountyne.org website, candidate filing forms shall be filed with the following officials:
Secretary of State
Community College
Educational Service Unit
Judicial Retention
Natural Resource Districts
Public Power Districts
State or Congressional Offices
County Election Office
City or Village Officials
County Offices
School Board
*For officers in school districts which include land in adjoining counties, forms should be filed in the election office of the county in which the greatest number of registered voters entitled to vote for the officers reside.
