WAYNE – The Wayne State College softball team is ready to host the 2018 High School Prospect Camp in early November.
The weekend camp will feature pitching, catching and defense on Saturday, November 10 as well as hitting and base running on Sunday, November 11.
This camp is a fast paced skills camp with feedback provided to help prepare for the collegiate level of softball and is limited to those between the age of 13-18.
Check-in for each date will start at 8:30 a.m. from the Wayne State Recreational Center with both sessions lasting from 9 a.m. until noon.
Cost per individual session is $75 while both sessions combined will be $125 which includes a t-shirt. There is a separate charge for the Hit Trax Swing evaluation on November 11 of $20 from noon until 1 p.m.
Items suggested that athletes bring include tennis shoes, glove, bat, batting gloves and a water bottle. Catchers will need to supply their own equipment and if they are simply attending just to catch a pitcher, not participating in any other part of the camp, no fees are required.

The Wayne State College Wildcat softball team finished the 2018 season at 16-29 overall and 10-16 in the NSIC (11th). WSC will open their 2019 campaign during an 8-State Classic in Arkansas on Friday, February 15.
