The former first-grade teacher at Fontenelle Elementary School charged with sexual assault of a child has been booked on suspicion of five additional charges involving five more girls.

Gregory Sedlacek, 30, had been charged with two counts of first-degree sexual assault of a child involving a 7-year-old girl. Thursday morning, prosecutors will file four additional charges of first-degree sexual assault of a child and one charge of third-degree sexual assault of a child.

Brenda Beadle, chief deputy Douglas County attorney, said Thursday that officials have identified six girls who were victimized, all of whom attend Fontenelle.

“Right now, that’s all we know of,” she said, adding that investigators are still combing through Sedlacek’s computer.

Sedlacek is expected to appear in court on the new charges as early as Friday, Beadle said.

The charges associated with the 7-year-old arose after Fontenelle teachers reported seeing Sedlacek touching the girl’s buttocks and legs under her skirt and that the girl sat on his lap at the bottom of a slide. The girl later told investigators that Sedlacek had digitally penetrated her vagina with his fingers.
