Congressman Fortenberry To Host Northeast Nebraska Town Hall Meeting Friday

NORFOLK – A Nebraska Congressman will be making a trip through eastern Nebraska during several town hall meetings.

According to a release from the office of Congressman Jeff Fortenberry, the First District Congressman will continue his summer town hall meeting schedule this week.

Moving to Friday, August 2 the congressman will be visiting Norfolk at the City Council Chambers (309 North 5th Street) at noon.

Congressman Fortenberry will provide updates from Washington along with answering any questions or concerns. Many of the ideas brought forward during the meetings shape legislation on which the congressman works. Each town hall meeting will last for just over an hour.

Other town hall locations include Bellevue on Wednesday, July 31 at 4 p.m.; Thursday, August 1 in Lincoln at noon and Fremont at 4 p.m. as well as Friday afternoon at Columbus High School at 3 p.m.

Congressman Fortenberry is the Ranking Member of the House Appropriations Subcommittee on Agriculture, Rural Development as well as Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
