ARLINGTON/HOWELLS – Following a home opener win for Wayne High last week and a bye week for the Wakefield Trojans, both of the northeast football Nebraska teams will take to the road tonight.
Wayne High is 1-1 and will visit (0-2) Arlington as Wakefield sits 1-0 and will travel to 2-0 Howells-Dodge. Both games will kickoff at 7 p.m.
A week ago, WHS picked up their first win on the season, snapping a four-game losing streak (three last season, 2019 week one) by defeating O’Neill 27-13. Arlington had a tough outing with top ranked Pierce falling 64-0. Last season, Wayne won 14-0 over the Eagles.
