Senate confirms State Patrol retiree as U.S. marshal for Nebraska

WASHINGTON — The U.S. Senate on Tuesday unanimously confirmed Scott Kracl to serve as U.S. marshal for the District of Nebraska.

President Donald Trump nominated Kracl based on recommendations from Nebraska U.S. Sens. Deb Fischer and Ben Sasse.

Kracl served 29 years in the Nebraska State Patrol before retiring in 2017, and Fischer said his confirmation means that he will “continue to protect and serve Nebraska communities.”
