A 22-year-old woman — accused of driving drunk and causing a crash that killed a girl from Eagle, Neb. and injured the girl’s mother — turned herself in to authorities Wednesday.

Paige Seaton, of Omaha, was booked into the Sarpy County Jail about 1:30 p.m. She already had been charged with motor vehicle homicide and DUI causing serious bodily injury.

In February, Sarpy County District Judge Stefanie Martinez agreed to Seaton’s request to change her bail conditions and allow her to enter a program in O’Neill while her case proceeded.

Tuesday, Martinez increased Seaton’s bail to $1 million from $20,000 after Seaton was unable to get into another rehab center because there was no room for her.

Seaton had a deadline to turn herself in by noon Wednesday.

A hearing is set for April 6 for Seaton to enter a plea in the case.

A court document filed by her attorney, James Martin Davis, says Seaton plans to plead guilty to both charges.

Authorities say Seaton was driving north on Nebraska Highway 50 on Oct. 4 when her car crossed the center line and struck a car driven by Elisa Linscott, 48. A passenger in Linscott’s car, Linscott’s 15-year-old daughter, Alexandra, died at the scene.

Officials have said Seaton had a blood-alcohol level of .180, more than double the legal limit.
