Heavy, Wet Snow Blamed For Power Outage

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) – A blanket of heavy, wet snow put more than 50,000 utility customers out of power Sunday as of 5 p.m.

Power outages peaked at  56,000, after two to three inches of snow fell in Omaha.

Most of the outages are in Douglas County. The rest are in Sarpy, Washington, Saunders and Cass counties.
