COLUMBUS- The championship game in this year’s Nebraska Class A American Legion Baseball Tournament has been set.
Tuesday night Creighton Prep took on Omaha Burke who has not lost a game all tournament.
Creighton opened up the scoring in the first inning as Cam Blossom scored off of a fly ball to right field.
The score remained 1-0 until the top of the 4th inning when Eric Albert hit a two RBI single putting Creighton up 3-0. Creighton Prep continued swinging the bats as they scored three more runs in the 4th inning leading Omaha 6-0.
In the bottom of the 4th inning Omaha finally sees some offense as Hunter Waugh singles, driving in Nick Hall to make it a 6-1 game.
Both Omaha and Creighton scored one more run each as Creighton took the game 7-2. The winner of Wednesday’s 5:00 game between Millard South and Creighton Prep will face Omaha Burke for the National Division championship at 8:00.
