16-year-old tracked down and arrested in Mississippi in connection with fatal Lincoln shooting

U.S. marshals and a fugitive task force have arrested a 16-year-old male in Mississippi in connection with a fatal shooting in Lincoln last month.

Lincoln Police said the teen was arrested Monday in Gulfport, Mississippi, on suspicion of second degree murder, use of a firearm to commit a felony and unlawful discharge of a firearm in connection with the March 26 shooting of Edgar Union Jr., 22, in the 3800 block of South 47th Street in Lincoln.

Union was the father of five girls, including triplets.

Police did not release the teen’s name. U.S. marshals and the Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force made the arrest.

According to the press release, investigators are still pursuing leads on the case.
