Vincent Francis Meyer, age 75 of Randolph, died Friday July 6, 2018 at Faith Regional Health Services in Norfolk.  Memorial Services will be held from St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Randolph on Wednesday July 11, 2018 – 10:30 A.M., with Rev. Father Timothy Forget, Officiating; Inurnment at St. Frances Catholic Cemetery in Randolph with Military Rites by Alvin Kessler V.F.W. Post #5545 and American Legion Post #113 of Randolph, Nebraska; Memorial Visitation: Tuesday 4 – 7 P.M. with a 7:00 P.M. Catholic Order of Foresters Rosary at Johnson Funeral Home in Randolph

Vince was born February 8, 1943 at Randolph, Nebraska the son of John Henry, Sr. and Viola (Colling) Meyer.  He attended and graduated in the Class of 1961 from St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic High School in Randolph.  He entered the United States Army on November 21, 1962 and served for 10 months in Germany, he was honorably discharged on August 24, 1964.

On May 31, 1965 Vince married LaVonne “Vonnie” Jean Eddie at St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Randolph.  The couple made their home on a farm near Randolph where they farmed for 35 years.  Vince was a charter bus driver for Arrow Stage Lines in Norfolk for 11 ½ years.  He was a member of St. Jane Frances de Chantal Catholic Church in Randolph and the Catholic Order of Foresters.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Vonnie Meyer; 3 Sons Kirby and Jennifer Meyer of Bellevue, WA; Jamie Meyer of Phoenix, AZ; Ryan and Lauren Meyer of Seattle, WA; 2 Grandchildren Kevin Meyer and Gannon Meyer of Seattle, WA; 2 Sisters Norma Stueckrath of Randolph and Dolores Sattler of Boise, ID; 1 Brother Edward and Lou Meyer of Scottsdale, AZ; 4 Sisters-In-Law Sherry Meyer of Randolph; Marlene Dahlkoetter of Carroll, NE; Nyla Eddie of Carroll, NE; Marge (Meyer) and husband Delos Schock of Blue Earth, MN.

Vince is preceded in death by his parents; son Kevin Meyer in 1977; step mother Frances Meyer; 3 Brothers Elmer; John Jr. and his wife Dorothy; Earl; 1 Sister Shirley and Vincent Schmit; Father and Mother-In-Law Ken and Geneva Eddie; 3 Brothers-In-Law Willis “Butch” Stueckrath; Delmar Eddie; Frank Sattler.
