Graveside Services for Roger Victor, age 73, of Wayne, will be held at Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne on Wednesday at 11:00 a.m.  with Military Rites. Visitation will be at Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne on Tuesday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with family present. He passed away on Tuesday, May 21st at his farm near Wayne. Memorials may be directed to the Wayne County Veterans Memorial.  Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.

Roger Terry Victor was born April 25, 1946, in Wayne to Marvin Henry and Irene Freda (Wacker) Victor. He grew up on a farm near Wayne and attended Country School District #47. In 1964, he graduated from Wayne High School and then attended Wayne State College.  Roger entered the United States Army during the Vietnam War, serving from 1969 to 1970. He farmed near Wayne after his father retired and later worked for Michael Foods in Wakefield. Roger lived on an acreage south of Wayne for several years.  In the spring of 1986, he began working at Wayne Grain and Feed as a Maintenance Manager, retiring in 2013. During his retirement years, Roger traveled back and forth from Sioux Falls and Lincoln visiting family and catching all the movies that interested him along the way.  He was an avid collector of sports cars and a model railroad enthusiast.

Roger is survived by his daughter, Angie Kanter of Lincoln; granddaughters, Kourtnie Stenwall, Ashlyn Kanter and Addison Kanter; sister, Judy Gearhart of Sioux Falls, SD; brother,  Kevin Victor of Laurel; niece, Kelly Gearhart of Sioux Falls, SD; nephew, Blake Gearhart of Saratoga, WY; great nephew, Chase Gearhart of Sioux Falls, SD; and many fellow car collector and model railroading friends.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Varner; grandparents; aunts and uncles.
