Funeral Services for Neyron Woodward, age 90, of Wayne, will be held at First United Methodist Church in Wayne on Friday at 10:30 a.m.  Visitation will be at Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne on Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with family present.  Interment with Military Rites will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne.  He passed away on Sunday at Wisner Care Center.  Memorials may be directed to the First United Methodist Church Wayne and the Greenwood Cemetery Association.  Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.

Henry Neyron Woodward was born February 8, 1928, on a farm near Allen to Henry and Irma (Isom) Woodward.  After attending rural school near Allen, he stayed home to help his father on the farm. Neyron married Alice Baird June 11, 1950, at the First United Methodist Church in Wayne. He entered the United States Army serving in the states from February 6, 1952-February 5, 1954 and during that time attended an atomic bomb testing.   The couple farmed on the home place near Altona all of their married life. Neyron had a corn sheller and shelled corn for his neighbors many years. His hobbies were hunting, fishing and attending his grandson’s ball games.

Neyron is survived by his wife, Alice; daughter, Linda (Leonard) Urbanec of Pender; son, Gaylin Woodward of Wayne; grandson, Matt Urbanec of Norfolk; brother, Thaine Woodward of rural Concord; sisters-in-law, Vivian Baird of Ohio and Bonnie Baird of Wayne; many nieces and nephews.

Neyron was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jimmie (Shirley) Woodward; sister-in-law Doris Woodward; brothers-in-law, Russell (Arlene) Baird, Edgar (Roberta) Baird, Earl Baird, Warren (Shirley) Baird; and his grandparents.
