Memorial Graveside Services will be held in May for Nancy Landanger, age 82, of Winside. Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne. She passed away Wednesday at Providence Medical Center in Wayne.
Nancy Bonnell Landanger was born October 11, 1935, in Wayne to Ivan and Helen (Thompson) Fickle. She attended Carroll Public Schools. Nancy married Donald Landanger Jaunuary 19, 1955 in Sioux City, IA. The couple lived near Altona, then in Carroll later moving to their current home in Winside. Nancy worked at Sherwood Medical in Norfolk for 31 years before her retirement. She is a member of the Carroll United Methodist Church.
Nancy is survived by her children, Mary (Carl Sr.) Paustian of Hoskins, Sally (Bill) Anderson of Hoskins, and Peggy Paustian of Norfolk; daughter-in-law, Dorothy (Dan) Cradick of Gresham; 15 grandchildren; 40 great- grandchildren; two great-great-grandchild; brothers, James (Suzanne) Fickle of Spokane, WA, Richard (Jackie) Fickle of Lincoln, RI, Charles “Bud” Fickle of Henderson, KY; sisters, Marcella Storey of Witchita, Kansas, and Pat O’Connell of Idaho; and a sister-in-law, Virginia Fickle of Waterbury; many nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Don in 2016; son, Donald W. Landanger; son-in-law, Terry Kettler; brothers, Jack Fickle, Babe Fickle; sisters, Peggy Fickle and Dolly Noe.
