Funeral Services for Marjorie Kudrna, age 83, of Wayne, will be held at Calvary Bible Evangelical Church in Wayne on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m.  Visitation will be at Calvary Bible Evangelical Church in Wayne on Monday from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. with family present.  Interment will be at Veterans Cemetery in Wayne.  She passed away on Wednesday at Careage Campus of Care in Wayne.  Memorials may be directed to the Kudrna family for later designation.  Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.

Marjorie Ann Schenk Kudrna was born August 26, 1935, at Campbell to Ralph and Margaret (Koch) Schenk.  She went home to see Jesus Face to Face on Wednesday, November 14, 2018.   Marjorie met and married the love of her life, Charles J. Kudrna Sr. July 26th, 1952. God blessed their union with four sons.  As their family grew, they lived in Edgar, Hastings, and moved to Wayne in 1958.  Marjorie was a “shoe sales person” at McDonald’s Clothing Store, and an Avon Representative. In 1975, Marjorie and Charles purchased their own business, “Charlie’s Refrigeration and Appliance”.  She was a long time Sunday School Teacher at the Evangelical Free Church in Wayne.  The couple retired in 1994, then cleaned the church for several years.

Marjorie is survived by four sons and families, Charles J. (Linda)  Kudrna Jr. of Norfolk, David (Tina) Kudrna of Omaha, Rob (Deanna) Kudrna of  Boone, IA, and Scott (Marci) Kudrna  of Wayne; 11 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; siblings, Lloyd (Marilyn) Schenk of Enumclaw, WA, Eleanor (Raymond) Burgess of Red Cloud, Gloria (Jack) Steiner of Hastings, and Darlene Davis of Red Cloud; sisters-in-law, Helen “Darlene” Brown of Colorado, Dorothy (Norbert) Beyke of Lincoln, and Avis Schenk of West Point;    many nieces and nephews.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband, Charles in 2012; brothers, Marlin “Bud” Schenk, Gilbert Schenk, and Kenneth Schenk; sister, Dorothy Jauken; brothers-in-law Virgil Davis, Alvin Jauken, Ivan Kudrna, Cecil Brown, Melvin Burge, and Lloyd “Red” Brown; sisters-in-law, Shirley M. Schenk, Bonnie Schenk, Shirley J Schenk, Bethal Kudrna, Grace Burge, Nancy Brown, and Wanda Baker; seven nephews; and two nieces.
