A Christian Home-Going Service for LeRoy Rubeck, age 88, of Winside, will be held at Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne on Monday, March 11th at 2:00 p.m. Visitation will be at Hasemann Funeral Home in Wayne on Monday, March 11th at 1:00 p.m. until the start of the service. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Wayne with Military Rites. He passed away on Monday at Providence Medical Center in Wayne. Arrangements are with Hasemann Funeral Home of Wayne.
LeRoy Leonard Rubeck was born in Wayne, on July 18th, 1930, to Richard and Edna (Gildersleeve) Rubeck. LeRoy was taken to his heavenly rest on Monday, March 4th, 2019, at Providence Medical Center in Wayne. He was 88 years old, living most of his life in Nebraska, and for the last 55 years residing on his farm south of Winside.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Ione (Fullner) Rubeck of Winside; father of Linda Kirsch of Winside, Brian (Susan) Rubeck of Columbus, Beverly Hasebroock (Frank) Godinez of Juarez, MEX, and Larry (Sandra) Rubeck of Crystal Lake, IL; Grandchildren, Great-Grandchildren, Nieces, and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Edna (Gildersleeve) Rubeck; son, Bradley Rubeck; granddaughter, Jacqueline Rubeck; sons-in-law, Terry Hasebrook and Douglas Kirsch; and sister, Peggy (Louis) Williams.
LeRoy served our Nation in the Army from 1951-1953, then in the Army Reserves from 1953-1959. He worked hard as a farmer and bricklayer, remaining very busy during his years of retirement.
