Scottsbluff native Nate Lashley earns first PGA top-10 finish at Puerto Rico Open

RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico — Scottsbluff native Nate Lashley couldn’t capture in his first PGA Tour title Sunday, but he did earn his first top-10 finish.

Lashley made 15 pars and shot a 1-over 73, finishing in a tie for eighth at Puerto Rico Open. Lashley started the day in second place, but still earned $90,000.

Martin Trainer shot 67 to finish at 15-under, winning the title by three strokes.

Lashley has placed in the top 20 in four of his six starts on the PGA Tour this season.
