Youth Baseball Pitching Camp Changes For April 14, WSC To Host University Of Mary Wednesday

WAYNE – With the Wayne State College baseball road game at University of Mary being adjusted to a home game and moved a day back, the Wayne Baseball Association youth pitching camp’s first day will also have some changes.

WSC will now be hosting the Marauders of Umary on Wednesday, April 14 which was the first scheduled day for the youth baseball camp. The ‘Cats will open the doubleheader at noon from the Pete Chapman Baseball Complex.

Wednesday’s pitching camp will now start at 6:30 p.m. for digits (10U) and broncos (12U) participants followed by ponies (14U) at 7:15 p.m. These times changes would be just for this week.

Other camp dates include Monday, April 19; Monday, April 26 and Monday, May 3. The event will take place on the northwest field at the Wayne Summer Sports Complex for the three different age groups. Previously scheduled times were 10U (digits) will be from 5 – 5:45 p.m.; 12U (broncos) from 5:45 – 6:30 p.m. and 14U (ponies) from 6:30 – 7:15 p.m. during each session.

WSC coaches of Alex Koch, Tyler Vaughn, Mitch Gullikson and Chuck Hasty will host the pitching camp. The camp will focus on the basics of pitching and throwing mechanics.
