WAYNE – After handing University of Mary their first conference loss of the season, the Wayne State College women’s soccer team welcomed in another NSIC opponent from the state of North Dakota.
From the WSC Soccer Complex, the ‘Cats hosted Minot State University Sunday afternoon and gave Minot their first draw of the year.
Wayne State College could only place one of their five shots on goal all match long as the 110 minute-contest finished with a 0-0 draw. WSC is now 4-6-3 (4-4-2 NSIC) while the Beavers sit 9-3-1 (8-1-1 NSIC).
Morgan Rhodes placed her lone shot attempt on goal while other attempts came from Abby Sutton, Chloe Schlines, Payton Haliburton and Alicia Green.
Katherine Hageman recorded eight saves in goal.
Minot State won the shot attempt battle, 17-5 (9-1 on goal) while the Beavers had six corner kicks compared to three from WSC.
The Wayne State College women’s soccer team will next visit Minnesota Duluth on Friday, October 22 and St. Cloud State on Sunday, October 24.
