BEMIDJI, MN – Following a home opener victory last Thursday, the Wayne State College football team will continue their cross division schedule with a road outing.

From Chet Anderson Stadium in Bemidji, Minnesota, WSC will meet 1-0 Bemidji State University at 2 p.m. on Saturday, September 11.

The Wildcats opened year 2021 with a 34-27 win in Wayne to earn head coach John McMenamin’s first victory as head coach.

The Beavers traveled to Sioux Falls, South Dakota and handed the Cougars a 24-16 loss last Thursday. Bemidji State was receiving votes (RV) in the most recent top 25 Division II football rankings.

Wayne State College holds an 11-9 lead in the all-time series history but BSU has won the last two meetings of 27-10 in Wayne in 2018 and 45-17 in Bemidji in 2016. Saturday afternoon will mark the 21st meeting between the two programs on the 20th anniversary of 9/11 with it being First Responders Day in Bemidji.

Upper Iowa at Concordia-St. Paul at noon

Sioux Falls at Minot State at 1 p.m.

(RV) Augustana at University of Mary at 2 p.m.

Southwest Minnesota State at Northern State at 6 p.m.

#3 Minnesota State-Mankato at #20 Minnesota Duluth at 6 p.m.
