WAKEFIELD/WAYNE – Several teams across Nebraska and a few South Dakota teams will participate in the 2021 Wood Bat Tournament in five different age categories.
Games will be played in both Wayne (Hank Overin Field) and Wakefield (Eaton Field) during the American Legion schedule from Friday, June 11 – Sunday, June 13.
Pool A Juniors: Beresford (SD), Wakefield Post 81 and Wisner-Pilger/Dodge-Howells.
Pool B Juniors: Lennox (SD), Wahoo and Wayne Post 43.
Pool A Seniors: Bruning-Davenport-Shickley, Lennox (SD), Wakefield Post 81 and Wisner-Pilger/Dodge-Howells.
Pool B Seniors: Arlington, Beresford (SD), Wahoo and Wayne Post 43.
Friday, June 11 (all in Wakefield): Wakefield Jrs vs. Wisner-Pilger/Dodge-Howells at 4 p.m.; Wakefield Srs vs. Wisner-Pilger/Dodge-Howells at 6 p.m. and Wakefield Srs vs. BDS at 8 p.m.
Saturday, June 12 (Wayne games): Wayne Jrs vs. Lennox at 10 a.m.; Lennox Jrs vs. Wahoo at noon; Arlington Srs vs. Beresford at 2 p.m.; Wayne Srs vs. Wahoo at 4 p.m.; Wayne Jrs vs. Wahoo at 6 p.m. and Wayne Srs vs. Beresford at 8 p.m.
Saturday, June 12 (Wakefield games): Wakefield Jrs vs. Beresford at 10 a.m.; Beresford Jrs vs. Wisner-Pilger/Dodge-Howells at noon; Wisner-Pilger/Dodge-Howells Srs vs. BDS at 2 p.m.; BDS Srs vs. Lennox at 4 p.m.; Lennox Srs vs. Wisner-Pilger/Dodge-Howells at 6 p.m. and Wahoo Srs vs. Arlington at 8 p.m.
Sunday, June 13 (Wayne games): Jrs Pool A 3rd vs. Pool B 3rd at 10 a.m.; Jrs Pool B 1st vs. Pool A 2nd at noon and Wayne Srs vs. Arlington at 2 p.m.
Sunday, June 13 (Wakefield games): Beresford Srs vs. Wahoo at 10 a.m.; Jrs. Pool A 1st vs. Pool B 2nd at noon; Wakefield Srs vs. Lennox at 2 p.m.; Juniors Championship (winners of noon games) at 4 p.m. and Seniors Championship (winners of Pools A & B) at 6 p.m.
