WINSIDE – Following a weekend team title in Wisner, the Winside wrestling program took part in a home dual ahead of the pre-holiday break.
From Winside Public Schools, the Wildcats welcomed in Oakland-Craig Tuesday night.
The host Winside defeated Oakland-Craig, 39-18.
Winside leaders were Mason Topp (195) over Garrett Klausen by fall (0:49); Cayden Ellis (126) over Ben Loftis by decision (6-5) and Mace Magwire (132) over Dayton Carson by fall (1:40).
Winside wins by forfeit came from Korbin Carlson (113); Cooper Behmer (120); Maddox Magwire (138) and Art Escalate (152).
Oakland-Craig scoring was Tavis Uhing (160) over Tyler Carlson by fall (1:17) while wins by forfeit came from Jesse Droescher (220) and JT Brands (285).
Both teams double forfeit the weights of 106, 145, 170 and 182.
The Winside Wildcat wrestling program will next compete in the Newman Grove Invite on Thursday, December 30 starting at 10 a.m.
