WINSIDE – With two tournaments and a triangular remaining on the regular season schedule for Winside, the Wildcat volleyball team was back at home early in the week.
Winside welcomed in Niobrara/Verdigre during Tuesday night’s home match.
Winside got past Niobrara/Verdigre in straight sets (25-12, 25-15, 25-14) to now sit 16-4 winning their ninth straight match all by sweep-performances.
The Wildcats were led by Andi Bargstadt with 11 kills and nine digs followed by Brooklyn Behmer who finished with 13 set assists, seven digs, six service aces and six digs. McKenna Russell was the team leader in set assists with 18 and had nine digs while Kati Topp tacked on nine kills, eight solo blocks, two aces and six digs.
Winside will be off until competing in the Hartington-Newcastle Tournament on Saturday, October 12.
