Winside Volleyball Swept On Road

WYNOT – As the Winside volleyball team prepares for a home triangular next week, the Wildcats competed on the road against a fellow Class D2 opponent.

From Wynot, Winside visited the Wynot Blue Devils on Tuesday.

Wynot picked up the win in straight sets of 25-16, 25-22, 25-19 to now sit 4-1 on the season. Winside is now 3-6.

Natalie Kruger recorded a double-double with 12 assists and 10 digs to go along with two kills and a solo block, Anslee Watters led the team in kills with eight and had 15 digs while Hannah Gubbels posted a team-high 16 digs and had a service ace.

Micah Stenwall added four kills, eight digs and an ace; Randee Haase tallied three kills, four solo blocks and a dig; Aubrey Russel had a kill, two solo blocks and three digs while other digs came from Jerzi Carlson (10) and Samantha Gubbels (five).

The Winside volleyball team will next host Homer and Osmond on Tuesday, September 13.
