WAUSA – With a home triangular slated for Thursday night, the Winside volleyball team took to the road early in the week.
From Wausa high school, Winside competed with the Lady Vikings winning in straight sets (25-15, 25-12, 25-15) to improve to 9-4 on the season.
Winside was led by Andi Bargstadt with 11 kills and nine digs while Hope Cummins added nine kills, four digs, two solo blocks and two aces. McKenna Russell recorded a team-high 21 set assists to go along with three kills and three digs as Kati Topp had a consistent night with five kills, five solo blocks, one set assist, three aces and four digs. Brooklyn Behmer finished with eight set assists, seven digs, five kills and two aces.
The Winside volleyball team is back in action Thursday night when they host Walthill and Santee during a triangular.
