Winside Volleyball Sweeps Home Match

WINSIDE – It was back to the home court Tuesday evening for the Winside volleyball program.

Winside hosted just their second match of the season when Bloomfield was in town last night.

Winside was victorious in straight sets (25-13, 25-16, 25-9) to win two of their last three games and now sit 3-7 on the year as Bloomfield falls to 0-6.

Andi Bargstadt came away with a double-double for Winside with 12 kills and 12 digs as Kati Topp followed with seven kills and seven digs. Brooklyn Behmer added 18 set assists as Jackie Escalante led the Wildcats with 13 digs followed by Haylee Cummins with 10 digs. Jaden Rastede, Haylee Cummins, Escalante and Bargstadt all had two service aces.

Winside will also host Wausa on Tuesday, September 18 before also competing in a road triangular at Walthill with Santee next Thursday.

 Ponca def. Homer, 25-15, 25-16, 25-13 (3-0)

  • Josie Reid paced Ponca at the net with 16 kills, Morgan Nelson posted 24 set assists as Kaci Day led the Indians with 10 digs.

Laurel-Concord-Coleridge def. Plainview, 25-16, 25-22, 25-23 (3-0)

Pierce def. Crofton, 23-25, 25-21, 15-25, 25-21, 15-11 (3-2)

Randolph def. Wausa (3-2)
