WINNEBAGO – After winning five straight to end September, the Winside volleyball team played their first October match Thursday.
From Winnebago high school, Winside visited the Indians and won in straight sets (25-14, 25-16, 25-19). The Wildcats are now 13-4 overall.
Andi Bargstadt recorded a double-double with 10 kills and 16 digs to go along with three service aces for Winside. Kati Topp paced the team in kills with 11 while adding six digs, three aces and team-high three solo blocks. Brooklyn Behmer (three aces/five kills) tallied 22 set assists and seven digs, McKenna Russell finished with 17 set assists as Jackie Escalante tacked on 14 digs.
Winside will next compete in the Randolph triangular with Bloomfield on Saturday, October 5.
