WINSIDE – With a trio of road matches taking place on the Winside volleyball schedule in late September, the Wildcats began the week with a home contest Monday night.
From Winside Public School, Winside welcomed in Walthill winning in straight sets (25-10, 25-7, 25-15). Winside is now 3-10 on the season while Walthill fell to 2-12.
Natalie Kruger recorded a team-high 12 kills and five set assists followed by McKenna Russell with seven kills and paced the team in set assists with 13. Micah Stenwall and Camrynn Marx both finished with three kills and Randee Haase had two kills. Carsan Brogren posted a team-high 12 digs while Hannah Gubbels tacked on eight digs.
Winside dominated the service ace department with 15. Stenwall had four; Emily Jaeger, Brogren, Russell and Krueger all had two while Sam Gubbels, Hannah Gubbels and Skylar Spann all had one.
Winside will next visit Wausa on Tuesday, September 21; play at Pender on Monday, September 27 and visit Winnebago on Thursday, September 30.
