Winside Suffers Road Sweep, Area Volleyball Tuesday Night Results

WINSIDE – With three road matches slated to close out the month of September for Winside, the Wildcat volleyball program began their road stretch Tuesday night.

Class D2 Winside visited Class D1 Wausa and suffered a loss in straights sets (25-18, 25-16, 25-19). Winside fell to 3-11 while Wausa improved to 7-2.

Natalie Kruger recorded four kills, five digs and four set assists while McKenna Russell added three kills, eight set assists and nine digs for Winside. Micah Stenwall finished with three kills and five digs as Carsan Brogren posted two kills and seven digs. Hannah Gubbels paced the team in digs with 22.

Brogren and Randee Haase both had three solo blocks while Kruger tacked on two service aces.

Winside will next visit Pender on Monday, September 27 and play at Winnebago on Thursday, September 30.
